OUR VISION...
Goodwill's
vision is to impact and change the lives of homeless, unemployed and
disenfranchised people. We believe that this is done through the good
news of the gospel, which is expressed not only in preaching but also in
meeting people in their felt needs with food, shelter, employment and
a sense of belonging in family.
OUR BACKGROUND...
Goodwill
Industries was birthed from a desire to see these disadvantaged
and disenfranchised people given opportunities to achieve gainful,
sustainable employment and economic freedom. The purpose of
the organisation is to support and assist unemployed people in Durban.
Our activities began with serving a meal
to unemployed men and women in the city once a week, sharing the gospel, encouraging and praying for the discouraged, and building relationships through regular contact. We are
reaching about 120 people each week. To date, thousands of meals
have been served, and hundreds of men and women have found employment through the help of Goodwill.
