iThemba Lethu
means, 'I have a destiny'. Our vision is to impact the lives of the
babies and young people in Durban, South Africa, whose future is being
threatened by HIV/AIDS.
This is achieved by focusing on two of the most vulnerable groups of children affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic:
Babies orphaned or abandoned as a result of HIV/AIDS
Young adolescents who are increasingly becoming infected with HIV/AIDS

is a registered non-profit organisation based in Durban, South Africa.
The organisation was constituted in November 2000 and seeks to see these two groups of people regain a
meaningful destiny by recognising the value of their lives and being a
part of a secure family environment.
